Goldfish memory, I don't seem to remember this location. According to another location hunt site, this is the road Miina and Karen used when going to school. Makes sense, since the Maiku House is located on the West side of Kizaki, where there's absolutly nothing but some houses and mountains. Schools, shops (including H-shop where the two worked part-time), and stations are all located on the East side of Kizaki.

I do seem to remember something about Miina and Karen walking through a lot of green. But that again, the whole village only has like 200 people, so everything there is green!

Ow yeah, a small trip outside Tokyo to this village really is a big change of environment! Needed to get used to the quiet and green environment, very unlikely Tokyo. You'll probably miss all the restaurants and 24/7 supermarkets/convenience stores from Tokyo, but in return you get really nice people, onsens, and nature.
