Shinano-Kizaki Station

This seems to be a location from Onegai Teacher. According to another location hunt site, this is the place where Karen first met Marie. Since I haven't seen this anime, I have no idea...

I do know this is a very convenient station to get off the train and start your Kizaki Lake trip. From here it's about 10 minutes of walking before you reach the hostels area. Get yourself a room, drop your bags, and walk around ;) No need to look at the train schedule, the Y-shop has a copy of the train schedule of Uminokuchi Station. And if you ask them nicely, they will help you plan your traintrip from Kizaki back home. They can speak English!
*Shinano-Omachi is the nearest station where you can get on an express-train or express-bus ;)

Ow yeah, the trains at Kizaki Lake have a ticketing system similar to buses. When you enter a train you take a number-ticket-thingy. You can only enter the train at the middle and leave the train at the front!
I didn't know this T_T So my first time there, schoolgirls got the impression: "Why doesn't that stupid Japanese guy know how to exit the train?" And me standing there, holding my JR-ticket, pressing the open-button. Stupid door didn't open, since you can only leave the train at the front! Remember this and prevent yourself the impression of a stupid Japanese guy... If you're not Asian, do whatever you like, they will know you're a foreigner.
I am guessing the schoolgirls had a funny topic to talk about after I left the train. O well, doesn't matter, I'll consider it a fun start of my Kizaki trip.  ^_^
They did explain me how to exit the train btw, in Japanese. The only word I understood was "motto" and they were pointing towards the front of the train. "Ahh. hai..." and that was where my Japanese stopped >_> Walking towards the middle of the train, pressing the button again... Girls turn around again and say the same thing, again I only understood "motto". This was the moment the whole train had the "stupid Japanese guy" impression X_X. This was also the moment I finally realized how the train-system worked.

"Stupid Japanese guy" is better than "stupid foreigner", right?
