Since I like temples and shrines, this place was double fun. It's a shrine, so it was a must visit location for me. Really wanted to know how small shrines in villages looked like, different from the shrines in Tokyo. This being an Onegai location was just a bonus, although I don't remember seeing this scene in the anime Onegai Twins.

Walking to here from the Ichigo and Mizuko bridge is a good long walk, I didn't keep track of the time so can't say for sure how long it is. According to the the pictures' information (date and time) it's about 40 minutes of walking.

At this location I also met someone I spoke to at the youth hostel the day before. He was there for a sightseeing tour as well, some salt route towards Matsumoto Castle. I learned more about the salt route later and the second time I came to Kizaki was for the salt route festival. Pictures and text about the festival can be found on my photobucket and travel-blog.
